Harvey A. Loomstein, Ph.D., is the Clinical Director at BioTech Institute. He earned a Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology from Columbia Pacific University and a post-doctoral degree in Biomechanical Trauma from Lynn University. Coursework for the latter was conducted under the auspices of the University of Miami School of Medicine and the School of Engineering. Dr. Loomstein’s Master's Degree's were awarded by Washington University.
He was a member of the National Academy of Neuropsychology and the Association for the Advancement of Automotive Medicine, and holds Diplomates from the American Academy of Biomechanical Trauma, the American Board of Vocational Neuropsychology, and the American Board of Examiners in Clinical Social Work. He is also a Diplomate and Fellow of the American Board of Medical Psychotherapists.
As Clinical Director of BioTech Institute, Dr. Loomstein has lectured in the United States and Mexico on topics such as: The Biomechanics of Head Injury, The Biomechanics of Low Impact Trauma, Neuropsychological Aspects of Toxic Chemicals, Neurotoxicology, The Use of Quantitative EEG and Evoked Potential in the Diagnosis of Closed Head Injury, Electro-Diagnosis, and Soft Tissue Injury Evaluation.
He has been qualified as an expert witness in head injury, biomechanics, rehabilitation, and child custody in Texas, Florida, Oklahoma, Kansas, California, and Canada. He has also served as a trial consultant on toxic torts and shaken infant cases.
