Civil & Structural Engineers and EPC of Process Plants
Civil & Structural Engineers and EPC of Process Plants, An insight into fields of specialization for civil & Strl engineers.
Course Description
Civil & Structural Engineer’s role in Process Plant Engineering involves design and engineering of all RCC and steel structures for process / control / Clean Room buildings with HVAC, foundations for static and moving machineries, pipe and cable racks, access platforms and other facilities like silos, roads, UG and OH tanks, drainage, ETP and other facilities. This course guides the civil & structural engineers as to what theoretical knowledge and software skills required to carryout EPC of chemical plants & systems.. There are a number of fields in which the C&S engineers can specialize as each field requires special knowledge and software skills
He or She also carries out project execution , supervision of construction of the above facilities for Plants and systems in oil and gas, chemical, petrochemical, Pharmaceutical , Cement, Fertilizer and other process industries so as to comply with the latest National and International codes and standards and in line with safety, environmental and other regulations.
Civil & Structural Engineer compliments and works interactively with Engineers from other disciplines like Process, Mechanical, Electrical , Instrumentation, and Safety using the latest software & management skills to conceptualize, design, engineer for construction the above mentioned facilities.
A large number of software are available in the above field for specialization and depending upon the interest of the engineer, he or she can have special training to meet the requirement of the EPC companies engaged in the construction of process plants
