Youth Employment Services Advance Online Program

Youth Employment Services (YES) is a career and employment program that provides critical support to help Catholic Guardian Services Youth become successfully employed and move toward self-sufficiency. Advance Youth Employment Services course is the second course in our course series that aims at teaching Catholic Guardian Services youth how to successfully navigate the job market, think like an entrepreneur, and budget their money.

This course adds on to the principles from our first course, allowing students to further understand how to become gainfully employed and financially dependent. The teaching and advice will come from our top graduates who will read the slides in each module. This will give current students a more relatable learning experience. In this course, our students will learn how to upgrade their resume by creating a cover letter; use various techniques to find a job online; understand the mechanics of workplace communication; explore nontraditional career paths; create their own business ideas, and learn how to budget their finances.

There will be 6 modules in this course. Each module will encompass a module video, quiz, and worksheets related to the teachings. At the end of this course, each student will create a presentation on their business idea.
