3D Modeling with TinkerCAD, An essential part of any 3D printing, engineering, product design, and hands-on making project.
“3D Modeling with Tinkercad” is a foundational program for 3D designing and modeling offered by Meu Labs. In this course, students learn how to get started with 3D designing. Also, this will act as a stepping stone for the student to master the art of product design using simple 3D design tools such as TinkerCAD. This entire program will help the kids to start their designing practices with Tinkercad.
Learning Outcomes:
- Expose students to the basic principles of design thinking.
- Ability to empathize, define, ideate, prototype, and test a product.
- Ability to understand basic product design considerations such as requirement definition, aesthetics, functionalities, modularity, product Performance, & quality.
- Ability to navigate through software platforms and identify the basic functionalities & features.
- Understand basic shapes, resizing, rotating, coloring, aligning, reshaping, and grouping of objects.
- A better understanding of the workspace orientation.
- Ability to follow a structured and methodical approach when solving a problem.
- Provide an overview of the product design process.
- Follow a continuous improvement process to enhance product quality.
- Ability to work on design thinking processes to develop a product.
- Allow students to use rudimentary CAD design tools.
- Ability to work collaboratively on a CAD platform in developing a single product.
- Create designs to be printed on a 3D printer.
